Consequences for family game night and parties
Consequences is one of the easiest party games there is. You do not need to be good at anything. You write one line, and the funny part comes from everyone else’s lines.
You can play it on one device, passed round the room, so there is nothing to set up. Or everyone can join from their own, which is handy when the group is spread over a house or a garden.
On one device
Add everyone’s first name, then pass the device. Each person is shown only the last line of the sheet they are given, writes their own, and hands it to the next person. The device hides each line before it moves on.
When all seven lines are written, gather round. One person opens each story a line at a time and reads it out.
On many devices
Start a game and show the QR code. Everyone scans it, gives a first name and joins. Everyone writes at once, so no one is left holding the device while the others wait.
A note for families
Players write their own lines, so what ends up in a story is up to the group. The game blocks a list of common swear words, but it cannot catch everything, so keep an eye on younger children’s games. Anyone playing by link can report a line.
